Constitution/A delegation from the Food and Drug Administration visits the Future Group.

Qusous: The Foundation supports the national industry to ensure the safety and quality of food ElBaradei: There must be national certificates parallel to the world, to help reach new markets Amman – A delegation from the Food and Drug Administration visited the Future Group for Plastic and Cardboard Industries. 

The delegation included the Deputy Director of the General Corporation for Food and Drugs, Dr. Ruba Al-Qusous, the Director of Food, Eng. Amjad Rashaida, the Director of the Regions, Dr. Nagham Al-Hourani, and Eng. Reem Abul-Ezz, Head of the Packaging Division in the Corporation. The delegation listened to an explanation from the group’s CEO, Nizam ElBaradei, about the group’s products, the quality certificates obtained and their development. 

Qusous affirmed the institution’s readiness to provide support to the national industry to ensure the safety and quality of food provided to citizens. She pointed to the importance of the safety of materials intended for contact with food that are used in homes and restaurants, and the importance of controlling plastic and cardboard products in a way that enhances citizens’ confidence in national products. ElBaradei said that the Food and Drug Corporation is the guarantor of the consumer and plays a major role in enhancing the citizen’s confidence in food and the national industry, and contributes to delivering the national industry to the consumer in a safe manner. 

He pointed to the importance of supporting the national industry by helping national factories obtain national certificates parallel to international certificates, which would help them access global markets that require obtaining these certificates. He pointed to the presence of the Quality and Operations Management Department in the group, and that it holds local and international accreditations such as ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and BRC certification, which is considered as a passport to enter global markets, and a certificate that our products are safe and healthy, and within the best international practices. ElBaradei touched on some of the problems that the industrial sector suffers from, and stressed the importance of partnership between the public and private sectors in the field. Finding appropriate solutions. He stressed that the group is committed to simplifying the lives of citizens and consumers by providing innovative, single-use and affordable packaging solutions. To be safe, healthy and environmentally friendly. 

And he indicated that the group relies on Jordanian labor at a rate of more than 90% of its workforce, to reduce unemployment rates. He pointed out that the group’s products reached many Arab and foreign countries, including Britain, Sweden, Cyprus, Greece, America, and Canada, in addition to neighboring countries. For his part, the Director of Food said that there is a need for more national efforts to help the national product meet the export conditions imposed by international companies, which they consider a prerequisite for manufacturing within the Kingdom. He pointed out the excellence of the Corporation’s work, and its supervisory role over the factories, and that 17 factories have achieved conformity with the conditions of the American Food and Drug Corporation, which correspond to the conditions of the Corporation. He pointed out that 65 Jordanian factories export their products to many countries of the world, including European and American, and it is important to us that the Jordanian product reaches the world, as it is an indication of the good performance of the institution, as the Jordanian product is considered an ambassador for the Jordanian industry.
